Properties and benefits of Laxmix

Laxmix de Gheos, uses the effective laxative properties of the bark of frangula known since the twelfth century. The laxative action of the frangula can be explained thanks to the transformation, by the bacterial flora or by enzymes present in the colon, of some compounds in the cortex into an active form. Activated compounds prevent the absorption of water and mineral salts by the intestinal mucosa and facilitate evacuation. Cascara sagrada, native to the Pacific coast of North America, has digestive action in small doses, and laxative in higher doses. Hydroxy-anthracenecos glycosides favor an active secretion of electrolytes and water in the intestinal lumen, stopping the reabsorption of electrolytes and water in the large intestine; through the increase in the volume of the intestinal content, an increase in the filling pressure is verified with a consequent stimulation of the intestinal peristalsis. The presence of Aloe Vera has both a purifying and detoxifying action.
