Natures Plus Acidophilus is a food supplement made from Lactobacillus acidophilus. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a predominant bacteria in our digestive tract, mainly in the stomach, duodenum, jejunum and ileum.

Properties and benefits of Acidophilus

L. acidophilus produces lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and other byproducts of its metabolism that create a hostile environment for the development of pathogenic flora. It has the ability to synthesize B group vitamins such as niacin, folic acid and vitamin B (pyridoxine).

Lactobacillus acidophilus supplements may be necessary to restore the balance of the gastrointestinal flora and minimize episodes of diarrhea. They are also indicated in imbalances of the vaginal flora caused by broad-spectrum antibiotics, spermicides, hormones and various dietary factors.

How to take Acidophilus?

It is recommended to take 1 capsule twice a day.
