DAOkids is a food for special medical purposes based on the DAO enzyme (Diamine Oxidase) for the dietary management of DAO deficiency in children. DAOkids® works by metabolizing histamine ingested in the diet, preventing its accumulation in the blood and preventing the onset of symptoms. It restores optimal levels of DAO activity thanks to its structural and functional equivalence with human DAO, preventing histamine absorption.

How to take DAOkids?

It is recommended to take 1 tablet with a little water 20 minutes before main meals (3 times a day). Swallow it whole, without chewing, breaking, or crushing it.

Precautions

DAOkids® is not suitable as a sole food source. Use only under medical supervision. Intended for children 3 years and older. Contains no histamine. Gluten- free. Lactose- free. Sugar-free.

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of young children.

Composition of DAOkids

Bulking agents: microcrystalline cellulose and hydroxypropylcellulose, pork kidney protein extract with 7% Diamino Oxidase (DAO), coating agent: ethylcellulose, potato starch, stabilizers: sodium alginate and magnesium salts of fatty acids, medium chain triglycerides, coating agent: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, stabilizers: oleic acid and stearic acid.

Per 1 tablet:
Pork kidney protein extract (4.2 mg) of which diamine oxidase (DAO) (0.3 mg).
