Harpagophytum (Plantis devil’s claw). Harpagophytum is indicated as a remedy for degenerative rheumatic conditions, arthritis, tendonitis, and other ailments. It is also used as an antipyretic, appetite stimulant, and bitter tonic.

How to take Harpagofito?

Infusion : Place the plant in a porcelain or heat-resistant glass bowl or cup and pour boiling water (150-250 ml). Cover and stir occasionally if desired. Strain after 5-10 minutes. An infusion can be prepared for the tender parts of the plants, such as leaves, flowers, flowering tops, aerial parts, as well as for some properly crushed roots.

Decoction : Place the plant in water and boil for 5-10 minutes, let it steep until it cools slightly, then strain. A decoction is best for leathery plants or very hard plant parts such as roots, bark, stems, and especially those containing tannins.
