Tarragon, a perennial and shrubby plant native to the steppes of Central Asia, ranks seventh in French production of aromatic plants. Used as a seasoning in numerous preparations (béarnaise sauce, mustard, flavored vinegar), it is the subject of various and varied myths and has been used for years. From the Greek “drakonion,” this “dragon herb” was already used in the Middle Ages, as its root was seen to resemble the image of a dragon.

How to take Tarragon essential oil?

• Use: Food flavoring (FEMA no.: 3043, CoE no.: 64n).
• Food dose: 1 drop in a dish for 5 people (never exceed 2%).
• Always use the essential oil diluted in a suitable carrier (for example: vegetable oil, honey…).
• Soluble in alcohol, fats (vegetable oils and butters) and emulsions (creams).
