Properties and benefits of Scots pine essential oil

Originating from Asia, the red bark Scots pine now grows throughout Europe up to Siberia, and prefers mountains and sandy or rocky soils. Its essential oil is extracted from the needles and emits a fresh and delicate forest aroma. Long known by our grandmothers as a powerful purifier that promotes oxygenation, Hippocrates also prescribed its resin for this use.

How to take Scots pine essential oil?

• Use: Food aroma (FEMA no.: 2906 / CoE no.: 341n)
• Food dose: 1 drop in a dish for 5 people (never exceed 2%)
• Always use the essential oil diluted in a suitable carrier (for example: vegetable oil, honey…)
• Soluble in alcohol, fats (vegetable oils and butters) and emulsions (creams).
• Insoluble in water. However, it is possible to use it mixed in this type of product, but previously mixed with Solubol (in this case, 4 times more Solubol than essential oil must be used).

Precautions

• Allergens: Linalool, Limonene.
• Always use the essential oil diluted in a vegetable oil or another suitable carrier.
• Do not use on pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 6 years old, or people with epilepsy, asthma, or allergies to any of its components.
• Consult a specialist for any other indication.

• Store protected from air, heat and light.
• Storage: 24 months after opening.
