Butyrate: is a short-chain fatty acid (SCFA); these fatty acids are used by intestinal cells (enterocytes) as an energy substrate to maintain their integrity and functionality.

• 0.7 grams of butyrate would be equivalent to 5g of fibre fermented by a microbiota in optimal condition. If our microbiota is not in this state, butyrate production will be insufficient. An exogenous supply of butyrate helps reduce intestinal permeability and the general deregulation of our intestine.

Probiotic: Our probiotic formula provides 5 strains of lactic acid producing bacteria in addition to the yeast Saccharomyces Boulardii and vitamin D and C.

• Saccharomyces Boulardii: improves the intestinal barrier function, increases the expression of intestinal digestive enzymes and the consequent increase in nutrient absorption.
