Mountain savory is an annual plant popularly known as “donkey pepper” or “St. Julian’s herb” that is part of the composition of Provençal herbs (thyme, rosemary, savory, marjoram). It is found on hills, low calcareous mountains, and on the edges of Mediterranean paths. It provides an essential oil that has been extensively studied at French universities.

How to take Savory Mountain essential oil?

• Use: Food flavoring (FEMA no.: 3016 / CoE no.: 426n).
• Food dose: 1 drop in a dish for 5 people (never exceed 2%).
• Always use the essential oil diluted in a suitable carrier (for example: vegetable oil, honey…).
• Soluble in alcohol, fats (vegetable oils and butters), and emulsions (creams).
• Insoluble in water. However, it is possible to use it mixed in these types of products, but previously mixed with Solubol (in this case, 4 times more Solubol than essential oil must be used).

Precautions

Allergens: limonene, linalool, citral, eugenol, geraniol. Always use the essential oil diluted in a vegetable oil or other suitable carrier. Respect the recommended doses. Do not use for prolonged periods. Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 12 years old, or in people with asthma, epilepsy, or allergies to any of its components. This essential oil can be allergenic and irritating. Consult a specialist for any other indication.

Storage conditions

Store protected from air, heat, and light. Shelf life: 24 months after opening. Packaging: 10 ml amber glass bottle with dropper cap.
